These were my initial sketches for two graphic art pieces inspired by Bo Burnhams new Netflix special “INSIDE”.

I decided to go through with the sketch on the left as I could incorporate lyrics from the songs in the special.

After refining my initial sketch, I decided I wanted to try flat colour as it’s an art technique I admire and that I haven’t tried to use. I wanted to branch out into experimenting with lighting and shading while using flat colour, which I think achieved accurately.

 

I tried out laying out my typography is different way, and decided I was going to lay it out as if it is coming from the overhead light.
